The Champlain Apartment Building (also known as the Orme Building) located at 1424 K Street, NW in Downtown Washington, D.C. In 1905, Senator Redfield Proctor of Vermont chose architect Harold Clinton Smith to design the Beaux-Arts building. It was later converted to commercial use and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.
