The Together Mural reclaims the U.S. Capitol Building as a symbol for democracy, equity, and unity. It is a celebration of peaceful protest and illustrates the resilience of the human spirt. Ivory silhouette figures at the foreground recognize important movements of the past, such as civil rights, gay liberation, and women’s liberation. With a height of 50 feet, the 13-color rainbow burst sky-scape is the largest rainbow wall in Washington, DC. The colors celebrate diversity and symbolize the intersection of all human identities.
