Barber-Caperton House: A historic house with a Greek Revival style gazebo in the rear garden.

Built between 1813 and 1816, the Barber-Caperton House is located within the Georgetown Historic District. The house is probably best known for its Greek Revival style gazebo, constructed around 1830 and located in the house's rear garden. The house has a large front and side yard with a wrought iron fence along N Street and the driveway. The front entrance, reached via a staircase with iron railings, is the most elaborate feature of the house’s simple facade. It includes a double panel door below an elliptical fanlight and is flanked by pilasters.
