Godey House: The Godey House is located in the Georgetown Historic District and is well known for its architecture that reflects both Greek Revival and Italianate styles.

The Godey House is located in the Georgetown Historic District and was built around 1850. Along with the Godey House, many other row houses were built in Georgetown during the mid 19th century. These houses were often built in a Greek Revival or Italianate style. The Godey House primarily includes Italianate details, but does include a few features that reflect the Greek Revival style. Its Italianate features include a flat roof with wide projecting cornices and brackets, a rusticated basement, tall narrow windows, and a bay window. However, the pediment above the doorway and rectangular windows are more similar to the Greek Revival style. The Godey House is a great example of the many different architectural styles that were popular in Georgetown at the time.
