Isaac Tenney House

A well-preserved remnant of DC Federal architecture.

This Federal style home was built in 1805 and belonged to Isaac Tenney. Isaac Tenney was an associate of Francis Dodge from Newburyport, Massachusetts and owner of Francis Dodge House (Hammond Court). The Isaac Tenney House includes the standard Federal style characteristics, including the fan detail above the front door, and the double-hung sash windows that are placed singly in symmetrical rows. Located within the Georgetown Historic District this home is a recognizable remnant of the turn of the 19th century.
