Text
The General Baking Company's Bond Bread Factory is an Art Deco-style industrial building. Constructed in 1929 to the designs of architect Corry B. Comstock, the building's style, quality craftsmanship, and decorative detailing are rare for the city's industrial building stock. The General Baking Company Bakery remains in its original location in Shaw and has had no major exterior alterations. Although currently vacant, the building survives in good condition and retains its integrity of setting, location, design, materials, craftsmanship, feeling, and association.
